NARASIMALU SRIKANTH

Narasimalu Srikanth is with ERI@N as the ProgramDirector and Senior
Scientist leading wind and marine renewable research. Previously he led key
research activities in tribology of wind turbines at Vestas wind systems and
clean room semiconductor manufacturing systems in ASM Technology Singa-
pore. Prior to that, he designed high-speed gear manufacturing machinery
and lubricant selection at Tata Engineering (Pune, India). He received his first
master’s degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian
Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, in design engineering and his second
master’s degree in materials engineering. Narasimalu has a doctoral degree
(PhD) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a specialisation in
materials and mechanical engineering, as well as a second PhD in technology
management, also fromNUS. Narasimalu has published works in more than
90 international journals and has presented at several international confer-
ences. He is a member of ASME, ASM, ASPE, IEEE and MRS(S).

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Science, R.A. Rao served the oil industry
of India for more than three decades at senior management and board-level
positions. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he had been actively
involved in the formulation and updating of national standards for petroleum
products. R.A. also represented India at the International Standards Organi-
zation. He is also actively involved in voluntary service with underprivileged
women and children among India’s rural poor.
