Chevron doubles China's Tianjin lube plant capacity to 150,000 tons per year

Chevron (Tianjin) Lubricants Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, has
expanded its annual production capacity to 150,000 tons/year from 70,000 tons/year starting May 7, said Yang Jianjun, an official with Chevron (Tianjin) Lubricants.
In December 2010, Chevron decided to invest US$20 million in the expansion of the production capacity of the lubricant plant in north China’s Tianjin. Chevron would be able to provide more products to the Chinese market with the expansion of the plant, which was started in 1996.
Tianjin is a key city in China, and it is the largest coastal city in northern China. It is the fourth largest city in terms of population in the entire country, and it is a major industrial and financial hub.
