Vibra launches API SQ lubricants for hybrid vehicles
Vibra Energia has introduced its new Lubrax Top Auto line of lubricants, developed specifically for hybrid vehicles and compliant with the new API SQ/ILSAC GF-7 specification.
The API SQ engine oil product line also marks the debut of Lubrax’s rebranding effort, featuring a modern visual identity and tiered packaging system designed for greater consumer clarity. The redesign retains the iconic green and yellow palette but introduces new typography and colour contrasts to reflect performance and innovation.
“The launch reinforces our pioneering spirit and commitment to innovation in the lubricants market,” said Juliano Prado, executive vice president of B2B sales at Vibra. He noted that the new line combines superior performance, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology, solidifying Vibra’s leadership position.
The Lubrax Top Auto synthetic range includes 0W-20 SQ and 5W-30 viscosity grades, with benefits such as:
- Enhanced fuel economy of up to 5%
- Improved cold start performance
- 70% better corrosion protection
- 10% higher cleaning efficiency versus API SP
- Specific formulation for hybrid engines, including start-stop systems
- Backward compatibility with API SP, SN+, and earlier specifications
In preparation for the new specification, Vibra collaborated with experts across the value chain and tailored its product development to local driving conditions. The updated packaging, available from July, will incorporate detailed technical information and support Vibra’s planned expansion in the Latin American market.
