VBASE Oil names Stephen Eck COO to lead global growth

VBASE Oil Company, a leading innovator in sustainable synthetic ester base oils, has announced the appointment of Stephen Eck as its new chief operating officer (COO). Based in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A., Eck will spearhead strategic initiatives to expand the company’s market presence and optimise manufacturing capabilities to drive global growth in 2025.

Stephen brings more than 16 years of experience in the lubricants industry, with a proven track record in product management, strategic marketing, and operational excellence. Prior to joining VBASE, he served as director of Commercial Development at Industrial Oils Unlimited and held senior leadership roles at The Lubrizol Corporation, including global senior director of Product Management and Strategic Marketing.

Eck’s achievements include managing P&L responsibilities, forming strategic partnerships, and leading global supply chain operations. 

Eck graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree.

His appointment underscores VBASE’s commitment to driving global expansion and enhancing its secondary polyol ester base oils business.
