Valvoline Europe announces big move into greases

Valvoline Inc. (NYSE: VVV), a leading worldwide supplier of premium branded lubricants and automotive services,  has made a serious move into the grease market. Since the 2019 acquisition of a respectable manufacturer of greases and industrial oils in Serbia, strategically located to serve Central Eastern Europe and Russia, the company has invested in a state-of-the-art research and development facility and upgraded its production capacity to facilitate future growth. 

Today more than 100 unique formulations of multipurpose and specialty industry greases are available to meet the demands of a wide range of industries, including mining, steel, construction and marine. Depending on the formulation, each grease exhibits properties to handle various loads, temperatures, shear, and stress levels and meet the unique requirements of various industry segments’ needs.

Available product technology includes, among others, lithium, lithium calcium, lithium complex and specialty greases, each developed with the end-user in mind to offer outstanding capabilities and added value by minimising downtime and reducing maintenance costs. 

Within an extensive portfolio of more than 100 superior performance proprietary greases that represent the culmination of decades of research and technological achievement, several might be highlighted as HERO products: Multipurpose Lithium EP 2, Multipurpose Complex Red 2 and Industry Calsul 2.

Valvoline greases were introduced in phases – multipurpose and additional NLGI grade greases were rolled-out in March and May, while specialty greases will be introduced in October. All greases are available in six pack-sizes: IBC, drum, 18 kg, 4 kg, 0.8 kg and 0.4 kg (cartridge.
