UNICOM and Lubrizol partner to revolutionise immersion cooling

UNICOM Engineering and Lubrizol have joined forces to advance the adoption of immersion cooling in data centres with a validated Tier 1 solution. The partnership brings together UNICOM’s immersion-ready GPU platform, the XE9680-IR, and Lubrizol’s CompuZol™ IM2015, a PFAS-free single-phase fluid. This collaboration aims to drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and improved performance for artificial intelligence (AI) workloads.

UNICOM’s XE9680-IR, based on Dell PowerEdge servers, is specifically designed for demanding AI, machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) applications. Combined with Lubrizol’s CompuZol IM2015, this solution ensures superior thermal transfer capabilities, durability, and environmental safety. The technology is validated through rigorous testing, offering a warranty of up to five years to give operators confidence in adopting immersion cooling.

CompuZol IM2015 complements the hardware by including a “Fluid as a Service” programme, which provides filling, testing, and reclamation services to ensure long-term sustainability.
