Stellantis to open regional parts hub in Malaysia by 2025
Stellantis, the world’s fourth-largest automotive manufacturer, has announced the establishment of a new regional parts hub in Malaysia, set to begin operations in the first quarter of 2025. This facility marks a significant step in Stellantis’ strategy to enhance its presence across the India and the Asia Pacific region and solidify Malaysia’s position as a pivotal automotive hub.
The new hub will service approximately 20 countries in the region, including key markets like Malaysia. With a focus on efficient parts distribution and aftersales support, the hub aims to minimise lead times and improve parts availability for all Stellantis brands, which include Peugeot, Citroën, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, RAM, and more. Located within a Malaysian Free Trade Zone, the hub is expected to play a critical role in improving the brand’s customer service and operational efficiency.
According to Daniel Gonzalez, COO of Stellantis ASEAN, this investment underscores Stellantis’ long-term commitment to growing its footprint in the region while enhancing the customer experience through better service delivery. The hub is part of Stellantis’ Built in ASEAN for ASEAN roadmap, which has included the acquisition of the Gurun plant in Kedah in 2021, positioning it as a regional manufacturing centre for both domestic and export markets in ASEAN.
This parts hub launch reinforces Stellantis’ strategy to localise operations and further develop its supply chain capabilities, bringing faster service and more accessible automotive parts to customers across Southeast Asia.
