SEQENS expands offering with new long-term protection additive

SEQENS, based in Ecully, France, is expanding its lubricant additives range with a new long-term protection additive, ARCOT® CS 401.

Today, calcium-based protection additives are labeled H317 and may cause an allergic skin  reaction. Using its one-step process industrialized 20 years ago, SEQENS has introduced  ARCOT® CS 401, an additive which addresses customers’ need for low labeling additives.

ARCOT® CS 401 is a non-labeled solvent-based polar overbased calcium sulfonate  anti corrosion additive. ARCOT® CS 401 is used for the formulation of a wide range of film  forming rust preventive applications such as automotive undercoating and cavity protection  as well as anti corrosion wax formulations. ARCOT® CS 401 is compatible with most  hydrocarbon solvents, mineral oils, waxes, petrolatums and resins.

ARCOT® CS 401 has good performance in oil- and solvent-based formulations. It shows  more than 1,000 hours when diluted at 30% in oil, 400 hours when diluted at 30% in solvent and up to 1,600 hours when diluted at 50% in solvent.

Its lubricant additives are manufactured in France in an Ecovadis Platinum certified production site.
