Puma Energy launches CLEANTEC fuel additive in Latin America

Puma Energy has launched a fuel additive technology with the brand name CLEANTEC across Latin America. Designed to improve engine performance, reduce emissions, and keep engines cleaner, CLEANTEC aims to revolutionise fuel efficiency in the region.

CLEANTEC is an advanced fuel formula with detergent properties, which helps to prevent carbon deposits from building up in the engine’s combustion system. This reduces friction and wear on crucial engine components, thus enhancing overall performance. It is vailable in both Regular and Super gasoline options. The product’s development was supported by extensive laboratory and vehicle testing, ensuring optimal performance in various engine categories.

Alejandro Baron, head of marketing and technology at Puma Energy LATAM, stated that the company is committed to delivering innovative solutions that improve engine performance. He added that CLEANTEC not only protects engines but also enhances fuel efficiency, extends the lifespan of key components, and reduces harmful emissions.

CLEANTEC has proven its effectiveness in direct injection engines, where tests have shown that it prevents new deposit formation, ensuring cleaner combustion systems. Furthermore, the Super gasoline variant, CLEANTEC PRO, has a 50% higher detergent capacity and can remove 100% of accumulated carbon deposits after just two tanks of use, the company said.

The key benefits of CLEANTEC include lower fuel consumption, cleaner engines, greater fuel efficiency, improved engine durability, and reduced vehicle emissions. The technology has earned international TOP TIER certification, which is recognised by leading global automotive manufacturers.

The two variants of CLEANTEC differ in their capabilities. CLEANTEC Regular is designed to prevent new deposits, maintaining engine cleanliness, while CLEANTEC PRO is specifically formulated to remove existing carbon deposits from the combustion system.
