Greg Julian receives ILMA John A. Bellanti Award for Service
The Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) today honored Greg T. Julian, president of Advanced Lubrication Specialties in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, with its prestigious John A. Bellanti Award. The award was presented during the general session of the 2024 ILMA Annual Meeting at the Broadmoor Hotel & Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, U.S.A.
Julian has served on ILMA’s board of directors since 2002 and was ILMA’s president in 2006-2007. He chairs the association’s Ethics Committee, which oversees enforcement of the ILMA Code of Ethics through a rigorous testing program. The Code of Ethics aims to promote the highest ethical and moral standards of professional conduct in the lubricants industry.
“Greg is so generous with his time and a true asset to ILMA,” said Catharine Golden, ILMA’s 2023-2024 president, while presenting the award. “He is always engaged. He has been a real mentor and is a true asset to ILMA.”
Julian said his involvement with ILMA started 27 years ago at a spring meeting in Williamsburg, Virginia. “I got involved with the Industrial Lubricants Committee at my first ILMA meeting, and it has been history ever since,” he said. “My message today is for everybody to get involved. We have a tremendous group of ILMA staff. The board is tremendous. We’re here to help you, the members.”
“It is a tremendous honor to receive the award, and it is nice to know that the time you put in is recognised,” he added.
Previously known as the Distinguished Service Award, the John A. Bellanti award was renamed in 2004 to honor the legacy of ILMA Past President John A. Bellanti of Battenfeld Grease & Oil Corporation. It recognises prolonged service and outstanding achievement by an ILMA member representative or an individual serving ILMA and the industry, who, through relentless determination, diligence, and dedication, has made significant contributions to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and stature of the association and the industry.
