Pilot Chemical appoints MacIver as new president and COO

Pilot Chemical Company, a privately owned and independent global specialty chemical manufacturer, has appointed Christian MacIver as president and chief operating officer (COO) effective January 3. MacIver brings nearly 30 years of commercial management and supply chain experience to the role. She will report to Pilot CEO Mike Clark.

MacIver will operate out of Pilot Chemical Company’s headquarters located in West Chester, Ohio, U.S.A.

“Christian is a critical addition to Pilot Chemical Company – not only because of her decades of leadership experience in the chemical industry but also because she strongly values investment in team members and customers,” said Clark. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the company. She is uniquely positioned to not only continue but also accelerate our strategy execution of operational excellence, growth and innovation.”

MacIver most recently served as vice president, Global Supply Chain with Ingevity, a chemical manufacturer headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, U.S.A. Over her career, she spent 27 years in a variety of sales, innovation and business management roles in the chemical industry. MacIver earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia.

Pilot Chemical provides  products and services to the disinfecting, sanitizing and cleaning; metalworking and lubricants; oil field and emulsion polymerization industries. Its proprietary core technologies involve alkylation, sulfonation, sulfation and a number of other specialty operations, including the production of biocidal quats, tertiary amine derivatives and organometallic fuel additives.
