PETRONAS and Mercedes renew strategic automotive partnership
PETRONAS Lubricants International and Mercedes-Benz have announced the continuation of their strategic partnership aimed at enhancing automotive performance and efficiency, particularly within the after-sales sector. This collaboration, unveiled in Stuttgart, Germany, on April 16, 2024, merges PETRONAS’ global presence in lubricants with Mercedes-Benz’s cutting-edge customer service solutions.
The partnership will focus on developing technical solutions that leverage digitalisation, tailored market strategies, and robust global collaborations. These initiatives are part of a broader commitment to achieve carbon neutrality and deliver enhanced value to customers.
Andreas Jörg, director of Service & Parts Business and Warranty & Goodwill at Mercedes-Benz Cars, which is part of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, highlighted the partnership’s focus on customer satisfaction. “Our strategic partnership with PETRONAS Lubricants International is an exciting opportunity to further enhance our commitment to our customers by collaborating on innovative technologies that will shape the future of mobility and customer experience,” said Jörg.
PETRONAS Lubricants International has been a pivotal technical resource behind the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, contributing to its success with eight world championships since the partnership began in 2010. This collaboration has integrated PETRONAS’s Fluid Technology Solutions™ with Mercedes-Benz engines, demonstrating the success and potential of their joint efforts.
Hezlinn Idris, managing Director and CEO of PETRONAS Lubricants, reaffirmed the venture’s goals.
“Leveraging our experience in the development of Fluid Technology Solutions™️, we will continue to deliver innovative solutions to cater to advanced engine technologies and meet the high-performance driving needs of our customers including delivering improved fuel efficiency, engine performance and safety,” she said.
