Petro-Canada Lubricants launches engine oils for ILSAC GF-7
Petro-Canada Lubricants, a brand under HF Sinclair, has introduced its next-generation SUPREME™ product line in response to the new ILSAC GF-7 and API SQ performance standards for passenger car motor oils.
The launch features reformulated lubricants, redesigned product names, and striking new packaging. According to the company, this product evolution delivers enhanced engine protection and fuel economy benefits aligned with increasingly rigorous emission regulations in North America and Asia.
The updated industry standards—ILSAC GF-7 and API SQ—support automotive manufacturers in complying with tightening fuel efficiency targets, such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed multi-pollutant emissions standards for model year 2027 vehicles and beyond.
The new SUPREME™ formulations reflect Petro-Canada Lubricants’ commitment to innovation and performance. A spokesperson for the brand noted that the campaign centres on what drivers value most: reliability, efficiency, and supreme performance.
Petro-Canada Lubricants, which manufactures and markets a wide range of high-performance products from engine oils to transmission fluids and greases, continues to expand its global presence. The company exports lubricants to more than 80 countries and operates under the umbrella of HF Sinclair Corporation.
