Pertamina Lubricants signs MoU with business partners in Australia

Indonesia’s PT Pertamina Lubricants (PTPL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with its two business partners in Australia, HLT Australia Pty Ltd and Berdi Australia Pty Ltd, during the 2020 Trade Expo Virtual Exhibition (TEI VE). 

The MoU was signed by PT Pertamina Lubricants Vice President (Overseas) Mia Krishna Anggraini, and witnessed by the Sales & Marketing Director of PT Pertamina Lubricants Andria Nusa.

Also present at the signing were the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Canberra, Australia H E Y Kristiarto S Legowo, and Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) for New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia Heru Hartanto Subolo. 

Pertamina’s Acting Vice President for Corporate Communication, Heppy Wulansari, said the cooperation was Pertamina’s efforts to encourage the export of Pertamina’s lubricant products and Pertamina’s  micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) products to Australia.

This collaboration marks the opening of opportunities for MSMEs) assisted by the Pertamina Partnership Program to Go Global, and is part of the implementation of the Indonesia Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA) which was signed on July 5, 2020 between Indonesia and Australia.

IA-CEPA opens opportunities for access to goods and services due to import duty-free facilities.

Wulansari said this collaboration is part of PT Pertamina Lubricants’ efforts to enlarge its overseas business portfolio. This is done by cooperating with the best partners to sell industrial lubricants in the Australian market, particularly in the transportation and mining segments in Victoria and Western Australia.
