NORA rebrands as ENFINITE for industrial liquid recycling

NORA, An Association of Responsible Recyclers, has announced its rebranding as ENFINITE: The Industrial Liquid Recyclers Association. The change reflects the organisation’s evolution and its broader focus on recycling a diverse range of industrial liquids. The announcement was made during the association’s annual conference and trade show in Coronado, California.

Founded 40 years ago as the National Oil Recyclers Association, NORA initially focused on oil recycling. In 2001, the association rebranded to reflect the growing diversification of its members, encompassing services for wastewater, antifreeze, filters, solvents, and more. Today, ENFINITE’s 300 members recycle billions of gallons of industrial liquids annually, transforming waste into usable products and advancing a circular economy.

Scott D. Parker, executive director of ENFINITE, emphasised the importance of the rebrand: “Industrial liquids are critical across industries, but what happens when they can no longer serve their purpose? Our members recycle and reuse these products, preventing environmental harm and conserving valuable resources.”

The rebrand symbolises the association’s commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of the industrial recycling sector while maintaining its mission to connect, educate, and protect its members. ENFINITE will soon launch a new website to support its expanded vision.

From oil and fuels to wastewater and glycol, ENFINITE members play a pivotal role in recycling industrial waste into new, usable products. By preventing untreated liquids from polluting the environment, the association fosters sustainable practices that align with global efforts to reduce waste and support environmental protection.

“As the industry evolves, so must we,” Parker added. “Our new identity reflects the critical work our members do and prepares us for the next 40 years of environmental stewardship.”
