Nitin Prasad to take over Shell Companies India
Royal Dutch Shell Plc announced that Nitin Prasad will take over from Yasmine Hilton as chairman of Shell Companies in India from October 1, 2016.
Hilton, who is also VP IT Project Excellence for Royal Dutch Shell, will end her assignment on September 30, 2016. Hilton began her career in Shell in 1979 and went on to hold a number of senior posts, including chief information officer for Shell UK and for Shell’s global retail business. In October 2012, she took up a four-year assignment as country chairman, the first woman to take up the top leadership post in India’s oil and gas industry.
Prasad is currently cluster general manager for Lubricant Sales and Market for India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Prasad joined Shell in 2004. His previous roles included general manager, Asia Pacific Middle East (APME) supply chain for Shell Chemicals and senior advisor on downstream strategy. Prasad is a graduate in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. and a management graduate from INSEAD, Switzerland.
