Two Air Liquide Cases Selected as “2016 Excellent CSR Practices of Foreign-Invested Enterprises in China”

SHANGHAI, Dec. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — On December 14, two Air Liquide cases were recognized at the "2016 Excellent CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Practices of Foreign-Invested Enterprises in China" award ceremony held in Beijing. A total of 61 cases from 54 companies received the honor at the event. All cases were compiled into a CSR report, which was released at the same event.

Co-organized by China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment and China WTO Tribune, the event aims to further promote the best CSR practices of foreign-invested enterprises and to reinforce their responsible image. Through public vote and expert evaluation, the selected cases reflect some of the most representative thoughts and practices in the CSR field.

Both cases from Air Liquide featured innovative applications of the company's advanced technologies and solutions. The first example, "Exploring value-added use of biogas for clean energy" received the "Best Eco-friendly Pioneer" award. By providing a complete biogas purification solution, Air Liquide enables its customers to improve energy efficiency while reducing emissions. The second case, "Using inert gas protection technology to store dangerous goods" was awarded "Best Customer Service Provider". By packaging volatile goods with inert gas instead of air, Air Liquide's inert gas control system provides customers with a cost-effective and safe way to preserve goods.

Yan Jinping, Chief Operating Officer of Air Liquide China, said: "As a responsible corporate citizen, Air Liquide advocates an environmentally friendly mindset through our innovative products and solutions, in addition to our CSR initiatives. These awards are valuable acknowledgement of our achievements so far, and encourage us to continue our pursuit of sustainable development."
