Asia Clean Capital and Butler China to Co-Develop 300 MW Solar Pipeline
BEIJING, March 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Asia Clean Capital ("ACC") and Butler China ("Butler") today jointly announced a cooperation agreement to co-develop an identified solar pipeline of over 300 megawatts in Mainland China. Under the terms of the Agreement ACC will provide construction and financing for the solar systems and Butler will provide manufacturing and installation services of associated rooftops.
The pipeline leverages the tremendous success both companies have enjoyed in China, particularly Butler's unparalleled track record of over 56-million square meters of installed rooftop systems. Projects from this pool of rooftops have been chosen according to a strict set of criteria, leaving a highly select group of the highest credit risk counter-parties in the most favorable sunlight regions.
Over its lifetime it is estimated that the pipeline of solar projects will result in the reduction of 9-million tons of C02, or the equivalent of 3.7-billion liters of gasoline.
According to Mr. Thomas Lapham, CEO of ACC, "Butler and their Butler® brand have been world leaders for over a century. Their warranty is twice as long as the nearest competitor and their quality is best-in-class. ACC is honored to install our solar systems on the world's finest roofs."
Mr. Josh Wight, Vice President of Sales for Butler added, "We are delighted to kickoff this cooperation agreement for solar installations. It will create a huge environmental benefit for China and for the world, and we anticipate building on this success to continue to increase our contribution to sustainability and environmental stewardship."
