Air Liquide China Again Selected as China’s “Top 100 Most Attractive Employers” by Universum
SHANGHAI, June 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Air Liquide recently was named as China's Top 100 Most Attractive Employers (formerly "Top 100 IDEAL™ Employers") in 2016 at an award ceremony in Shanghai organized by Universum, a global leader in employer branding. In this year's Universum Student Survey nationwide, Air Liquide ranks the 82th among students majoring in Natural Science.
More than 55,000 students in the fields of natural sciences, business, engineering, law, health/medicine, and humanities/liberal arts/education from 110 top universities across China participated in the 2016 survey. The survey is co-organized annually by Universum and China Daily's 21st Century English Newspaper. The survey results provide insights into the students' perception of and preference for specific employers in China.
Air Liquide attaches great significance to attracting, developing and retaining young talent. In China, the company carries out a systematic campus recruitment plan, including campus onsite career talks, on-line dialogues with students at well-known recruitment platforms, internship programs, and career development programs. In particular, the company's fresh graduate hiring programs such as "Yang Fan – International Development Program" and "Qi Hang – China Management & Technical Trainee Program" aim to explore young students with great potential. A number of senior managers and technical experts in the company have been developed through those two programs. Air Liquide China also holds Open-to-Public days annually to provide university students with the chance to visit its offices or plants to learn about the company and its responsible and sustainable business approach.
In addition, the company implements a Technical Community Leader (TCL) system, which provides a special additional career development path for technical professionals. To date, a total of 227 international and local experts have been nominated in China. Moreover, a comprehensive performance evaluation system, competitive compensation and benefits scheme, and diversified corporate culture all combine to make Air Liquide China an appealing employer in the highly competitive China job market.
Jasmine Wu, Human Resources Vice President of Greater China, Air Liquide Group, commented: "We're honored to be named as one of China's Top 100 Most Attractive Employers. People are at the core of our business. We'll continue to invest in inspiring and fostering future talents, nurturing innovation to create value for the business and for society."
