Neste appoints new leadership team and names Eeva Sipilä as CFO

Finnish renewable energy company Neste has announced the appointment of a new leadership team, with Heikki Malinen at the helm as both president and CEO. Malinen will also lead Neste’s Renewable Products business area, playing a crucial role in guiding Neste’s strategic direction towards sustainable energy solutions.

Markku Korvenranta joins the leadership team as executive vice president, Oil Products, and Chief Operating Officer (COO), with a focus on streamlining operations to enhance performance. In a significant addition to the executive team, Eeva Sipilä has been appointed as chief financial officer (CFO), effective 1 May 2025. Sipilä joins Neste from Metso Corporation, where she held roles as CFO and Deputy CEO, bringing extensive experience in financial strategy to Neste.

Anssi Taiminenlahti, vice president, Investor Relations, will serve as interim CFO until Sipilä takes on her new role. Meanwhile, Hannele Jakosuo-Jansson continues in the leadership team as executive vice president, People & Culture, underscoring Neste’s commitment to fostering a strong organisational culture.

Malinen expressed his confidence in the new team, commending Sipilä’s track record and dedication. 

Neste’s Leadership Team revamp reflects its focus on improving operational efficiency and driving forward its sustainability agenda. The company aims to become a global leader in renewable fuels, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and circular solutions.
