Motul and Peugeot Motocycles announce global cooperation
French lubricant manufacturer Motul and Peugeot Motocycles, a French manufacturer of scooters and small motorcycles, have signed a strategic global lubricant partnership.
As part of their agreement, all new motorcycles produced in Peugeot Motocycles’ production facilities in France and China will use Motul’s engine oils, as well as transmission, gear and brake fluids, for factory fill and service fill.
Following this comprehensive agreement, Peugeot motorcycles will be offered with two- and four-stroke Motul engine oils, designed for stop-and-go driving and incorporating the latest innovations to maximize performance and reduce emissions.
Announcing the partnership, Motul’s Managing Director of Business Development, Olivier Montange, said: “We are delighted to partner with Peugeot Motocycles, a brand that has brought freedom to people in the city and the countryside for decades. Peugeot is a brand that shares the same heritage, innovation, technology and quality values with us. It is a truly exciting opportunity to collaborate with a market-leading motorcycle brand for efficiency and improvement.”
Matthieu Brinon, director of Sales, Marketing and Communications, Peugeot Motocycles added: “At Peugeot Motocycles we have a long and rich history of urban mobility innovation. Our products are designed for the feeling of freedom and driving. “But we know city riding can be challenging for bikes, so we wanted a partner who can help us deliver the performance and reliability our customers expect, while also sharing our heritage, vision and passion for innovation.”
Peugeot Motocycles operates as a subsidiary of Indian manufacturer Mahindra Two Wheelers that has owned 100% of Peugeot Motocycles since 2019.
