Master Fluid Solutions has announced that it will invest in a new metalworking fluids blending plant in Taicang, Jiangsu Province, China. Once built, the new plant will double the capacity of Master Fluid Solutions in China.

The new blending plant will be the single largest investment for Master Fluid Solutions globally and will be the largest blending facility for the world’s most cutting-edge metalworking fluid manufacturing technology, according to Master Fluid Solutions CEO Michael McHenry.

Master Fluid Solutions, formerly Master Chemical Corp., based in Perrysburg, Ohio, U.S.A., develops and markets a full line of environmentally sound, extremely durable and stable cutting and grinding fluids, straight oils, parts cleaners, and rust preventives under the TRIM® and Master STAGES™ brands.

“The new Taicang plant represents Master Fluid Solutions’ continuous focus on China and Asia’s metalworking markets and strong confidence in the future growth of high-end, high-performance metalworking fluids,” said McHenry.

The new Taicang plant will provide customers in Master Fluid Solutions’ China and Asia with better supply assurance and technical service capabilities, he added.

Master Fluid Solutions has signed the investment agreement with the Taicang Port Development Zone government. The plant is currently under design and is expected to be fully commissioned by the end of 2020.
