Master Fluid Solutions® appoints Fuchs as new European laboratory director

Master Fluid Solutions® announced the appointment of Dr. Christine Fuchs as the new director of its European Laboratory. With an impressive career spanning more than 20 years in global research and development at esteemed companies such as Fuchs Petrolub, Buhmwoo, and Rhenus Lub GmbH & Co KG, Dr. Fuchs brings a wealth of expertise to the team during a crucial period of expansion.

Master Fluid Solutions, headquartered in Perrysburg, Ohio, U.S.A., is known for its expertise in developing and marketing a wide range of metalworking fluids, including cutting and grinding fluids, coolants, and lubricants for various industrial applications. Master Fluid Solutions serves a global market, with operations and distribution networks extending to various countries around the world to support its international customer base.

Dr. Fuchs is set to work alongside the current Laboratory Director, Dr. Meinhard Sünkeler, to ensure a seamless transition before his retirement in August 2024. Her leadership will spearhead the expansion and modernization of the research and development department, including significant investments in new technology and manufacturing enhancements at the Düsseldorf facility in Germany.

Dr. Martin Walter, European managing director, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, highlighting it as a pivotal moment for Master Fluid Solutions in Europe. “Dr. Fuchs’ leadership embodies our commitment to innovation and our ambition to lead the industry towards a more sustainable and efficient future,” he said.

Dr. Fuchs will focus on the development of eco-friendly metalworking fluids that support the industry’s transition to a circular economy and contribute to carbon reduction initiatives, in addition to overseeing the business operations of the European lab. Her efforts will primarily enhance the TRIM® cutting fluid range and WEDOLiT™ metal-forming and corrosion control fluid products.
