Martin John named CEO of KRAHN Chemie Group
KRAHN Chemie Group has announced that Martin John will take over as CEO, effective 1 June 2025. He will join the management team on 1 May as part of a planned leadership transition within the company, which is part of the Otto Krahn Group.
Philip O. Krahn, CEO of Otto Krahn Group, expressed confidence in the appointment. “With Martin John, we have found an experienced and highly competent CEO to lead the KRAHN Chemie Group and drive its continued growth.
John brings more than 30 years of international experience in the chemical industry, having held leadership roles at Hoechst, Sued-Chemie, and Clariant. Most recently, he managed the additives business for coatings and adhesives at Clariant.
“I am excited to lead one of Europe’s premier chemical distributors and work with KRAHN Chemie’s dedicated team to expand our business further,” said John.
Dr. Rolf Kuropka, who has led KRAHN Chemie for more than 13 years, will step down from operational responsibilities at the end of May but will continue in an advisory role. Krahn thanked him for his outstanding contributions to the company’s success.
With this leadership transition, KRAHN Chemie aims to sustain its international growth, strengthen service offerings, and enhance its focus on sustainability.
