Manish Agarwal named CEO of APAR Industries’ Conductor Business

APAR Industries Limited. a diversified industrial conglomerate based in Mumbai, India, has announced the appointment of Manish Agarwal as the chief executive officer (CEO) for its Conductor and Telecommunications businesses. 

Additionally, Agarwal has been appointed managing director of APAR Transmission & Distribution Projects Private Limited (APAR T&D), a subsidiary of APAR Industries Limited. APAR T&D is involved in projects related to transmission and distribution of electricity, which includes designing, engineering, supplying, constructing, and commissioning transmission lines and substations.

Before joining APAR, Agarwal was the CEO of Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, where he led the company’s Global Products & Services (GPS) business. With more than 27 years of experience in the power and telecommunication sectors, Agarwal is a recognised leader known for his expertise in energy infrastructure. His impressive career includes roles at Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL), Optical Link Inc. USA, and the Center for Rural & Regional Information (CRRI) in Australia.

A Harvard alumnus, Agarwal has been a driving force in adopting disruptive technologies in the transmission sector. He is also a prominent advocate for key industry initiatives, including public-private partnerships, the ‘Make in India’ campaign, and the modernisation of transmission and distribution infrastructure.

Agarwal’s appointment is set to strengthen APAR’s capabilities and support the company’s growth objectives. His leadership is expected to enhance APAR’s market position and drive innovation in the energy sector.
