LubriSource acquires The IFH Group’s fluid storage line

The IFH Group is the largest manufacturer of custom steel fuel and hydraulic oil tanks for off-road and specialty vehicles in the U.S.A. and is considered the originator of fluid handling solutions. Last week, the Rock Falls, Illinois-based company announced that it had sold its fluid storage and dispensing product line to LubriSource, a long-time distributor of the former IFH Group products.

LubriSource, a family-owned business, was founded in 2001. The company is based in Middletown, Ohio and is wholly focused on industrial machinery lubrication and reliability management through the provision of manual and centralised automated lubrication systems.

LubriSource operates across multiple industries including oil and gas, utilities, food and beverage, steel and automotive to reduce equipment failure, decrease downtime, improve operational costs and optimise safety.  “This acquisition is part of our company’s growth strategy,” said LubriSource President, Angela Morrow.

The products have already been integrated into existing operations and LubriSource is ready to service customers. LubriSource noted the “seamless transition,” highlighting the technical expertise, knowledge, and service infrastructure developed through the successful ongoing distribution of the popular product line. Products will be sold under the LubriSource Fluid Handling and Dispensing (LSFH) brand.

In a statement, Morrow confirmed that “the product segment is complementary to the maintenance and system design services we currently provide to the industrial lubrication industry.” The company’s objective is to introduce the brand and expertise to new customers around the world. LSFH’s product line includes several standard storage and dispensing systems for oils and industrial fluids and the ability to customise designs. Terms of the sale have not been disclosed.
