KRAHN Chemie expands BYK Additives distribution to Denmark

KRAHN Chemie, an independent chemical distributor based in Hamburg, Germany, has recently secured distribution rights in Denmark from BYK-Chemie GmbH, a global leader in specialty chemicals. This new agreement encompasses the distribution of thermoplastic additives and additives for the PVC and synthetic leather industries, marking a significant expansion of KRAHN Chemie’s distribution business into the Danish market.

This expansion underscores the enduring partnership between BYK and KRAHN Chemie. The move is set to enhance KRAHN Chemie’s product offerings in Denmark, particularly in key sectors such as thermoplastics, PVC, and artificial leather.

Klemens Unteutsch, business segment manager at KRAHN Chemie Deutschland GmbH, expressed enthusiasm about extending BYK’s distribution rights to Denmark. He emphasised the company’s commitment to addressing the specific needs of local customers, leveraging their expertise and solution-oriented consultation approach. 

The addition of BYK’s specialty additives to their portfolio is expected to provide customers with a more comprehensive range of high-quality chemical solutions. KRAHN Chemie, which is already established in the Nordic region through its subsidiary KRAHN Nordics, distributes plasticizers from renowned producers.

Headquartered in Wesel, Germany, BYK is part of the ALTANA Group and employs a workforce of more than 2,500 people worldwide. BYK has a global network of subsidiaries and operates production sites in Germany, the Netherlands, U.S.A., and China.
