Yushiro to build Indian plant

Yushiro Chemical Industry is constructing a plant in Chennai, India, to produce about 2,000 tons per year of metalworking fluids for cutting and grinding. The plant, scheduled for completion this May, will be operated by Yushiro Buhmwoo (India) Co., a joint venture that it set up in 2006 with South Koreas Buhmwoo Chemical Industry. Automakers and automobile-component manufacturers are starting to concentrate in the surrounding area where the plant is located, including Hyundai Motor and Suzuki Motor. Yushiro has been expanding its production bases worldwide in tandem with the increasing globalization of the auto industry. (February 22, 2007)
