World Health Energy to build algae biodiesel

World Health Energy Holdings, Inc. (WHEN) recently acquired the algae technology company GNE-India. GNE-India owns the distribution and licensing rights to an innovative technology that grows algae quickly and efficiently, which is used for the production of biodiesel and commercial fish food. After the acquisition, World Health Energy Holdings, Inc. and Indiaโ€™s leading industrial and transport firm, Prime Inc., signed a letter of intent to build a US$100 million biodiesel production facility in southern India. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are the proposed sites for the Algae Enhancement Technology known as GB3000 system. “We look forward to working with Prime Inc. India in the design, development and support of a cost-efficient algae production farm. We anticipate scaling up operations and completing a number of significant algae projects in 2012,” said Liran Kosman, chief financial officer of World Health Energy. (December 25, 2011)
