WHEN to put up algae farm in India
World Health Energy Holdings (WHEN), based in West Palm Beach, Florida, said that the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, GNE-India, has signed a letter of intent with Prakash Anthony via a joint venture to install a 250 acre commercial farm in the Ramanagara District of Karnataka, India, to produce fish feed and algal oil. Anthony is co-founder and chief operating officer of Indian IT company Korcomptenz. The initial project will consist of a 2.5 acre system known as the GB3000, an Algae Enhancement Technology used for growing algae. The full commercial and technology agreements are to be signed by both parties within 60 days and planning of the initial system to begin immediately following the agreement. (November 24, 2010)
