Volkswagen to bring clean cars to China

Germany’s Volkswagen (VW) will introduce clean-energy cars to China, said Klaus-Dieter Schadewald, chief operating officer of Volkswagen Import Co. It is easier for VW to introduce natural gas hybrid cars, but the automaker needs to ensure supply at natural gas filling stations in cities. As for diesel cars, VW still has to wait for the related policy on new energy cars to be issued by China’s government. (November 17, 2008)
