Volkswagen targets one million vehicles in China
German carmaker Volkswagen AG could for the first time sell more than one million vehicles in China, said a report, citing Winfried Vahland, president and chief executive of Volkswagen Group China. “A lot must happen for us not to achieve our target of one million sold vehicles,” Vahland said. The global economic crisis and slowing demand in the Chinese market won’t prevent this, Vahland said. (December 4, 2008)
