Vision Industries delivers first zero emission truck

Vision Industries, a developer of zero emission electric/hydrogen hybrid-powered vehicles and turnkey hydrogen fueling systems delivered a zero emission hydrogen fuel cell-electric Class 8 truck to Total Transportation Services Inc. (TTSI). TTSI, a national trucking company, is going to test the truck in the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as part of the ports’ Technology Advancement Program. The program is meant to further the commercialization of clean goods-movement vehicles and equipment. The new truck will be used for typical short hauls at the ports for six months. The zero emission truck is charged by a hydrogen fuel cell and produces no combustion or air pollution. If successful, TTSI plans to purchase 100 vehicles at a purchase price of US$27 million.
