Vietnamese petrol firm ordered to return more than 7,000 tons of low-quality fuel

Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology has ordered Thanh Le Import-Export Trading Company and PV Oil to re-export to Singapore more than 7,600 tons of petrol A92, which have been found to contain sec-butyl acetate, an additive which is prohibited in Vietnam. Vietnam’s current technical regulations stipulate that petrol additives must be registered and approved by the ministry. The additives should be proven safe for humans, the environment and engines.
