Vietnam urges public not to use untested aftermarket fuel additives
Vietnam’s Department for Goods Quality Management warned the public against using aftermarket fuel additives. The agency said these products, which are now available in the local market and are claiming fuel economy savings, have not been tested for quality nor safety as per the fuel additive regulations issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Advertisements claim these additives can help vehicle owners save as much as 15 to 30% of their fuel costs. (February 1, 2012)
