Vietnam imports US$3.3 billion of oil products

Vietnam spent US$3.3 billion importing 5 million metric tons of petroleum products in the first half of this year, rising in value by 13.2% from a year earlier despite a 22.1% fall in volume, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said on its website. Singapore was the top supplier of petroleum products for Vietnam in the first half, with 2 million metric tons worth US$1.17 billion. (August 4, 2010)
