Universitas Gadjah Mada asserts commitment to development of biofuel

Jakarta’s Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) announced its commitment to the development of biofuel as an alternative source of energy. The University’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science has already managed to develop technology that turns household waste into energy. It is also conducting research with the Faculty of Biology on Nyamplung plants as a possible source of biofuel energy. Additionally, the Center for Energy Studies of UGM has been working on developing technologies that will provide alternative sources of energy, including solar. (October 17, 2012)
