Unioil to continue expansion

Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. said it is upbeat about expanding its business despite the financial crunch, having upgraded its service and retail stations in Metro Manila. In a statement, the oil company said it had upgraded the facilities of its refueling station along Regalado Ave. in Quezon City before reopening the site in March under new management. โ€œDespite the current crisis, there are business opportunities and while everybody is slowing down, Unioil will pursue its expansion plan and will build more stations this year,” Unioil General Manager Luisito Medina-Cue, Jr. said. The company is looking for more sites in Manila, Cainta, Pasig City, Makati City and Pasay City, where it plans to set up six more stations under its Php90 million (US$1.89 million) expansion program.
