UK company will set up RM8billion plant in Bintulu
Burel Sdn Bhd of the United Kingdom plans to invest 7.9 billion ringgit (US$2.35 million) to produce petroleum-related products in Bintulu, Malaysia. Sarawak Industrial Development Minister Tan Sri George Chan Hong Nam said the company would produce polypropylene, polyethylene and pyrolysis gasoline. He said the state Industrial Coordination Committee (ICC) had supported Burel’s proposed investment for approval by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti). (November 19, 2009)
