U.S. rejects claims of biodiesel dumping

National Biodiesel Board (NBB) Spokesman Michael Frohlich says the Biofuels Association of Australia is wrong when it says U.S. biodiesel exported to Australia is being subsidized by both countries. Frolich said, “There is no tax incentive in place…so, unless this has happened in 2009 and they decided in June 2010 to bring it to someone’s attention, it’s meritless.” The complaints being probed by the Australian Customs are based on such tiny volumes of U.S. fuel that the case may be a “copycat” of a similar case the EU brought against U.S. biodiesel last year, said Frolich.
