Toyota Sales Fall 4% to 8.97mn Units In 2008

Toyota Motor Corp. (7203) announced Tuesday that global sales by it and subsidiary Daihatsu Motor Co. (7262) fell 4% year on year to 8.97 million units in 2008. Domestic sales dropped by 5% to 2.15 million units, while overseas sales declined by 4% to 6.81 million units. (January 20, 2009)
