Toyo-Thai to start building 2 ethanol plants in Vietnam

Toyo-Thai, a joint venture between Italian-Thai Development and Japan’s Toyo Engineering, has received investment licenses from the Vietnamese government to start building two ethanol production plants worth a total of 4 billion baht (US$123.7 million) this year, said Suvit Manamaiyanon, Toyo-Thai’s sales manager. The plants will have a total capacity of 300,000 liters of ethanol per day and its investment will be raised to 10 billion baht (US$309.2 million) once operational in 2012. (March 24, 2010)
