Toyo Drilube's second lube plant in Thailand nearing full operation

Toyo Drilube is partially running a recently completed second production plant for its high-performance hybrid solid film lubricants in Thailand and expects to bring the plant into full-capacity operation this month. It will also be building a plant in Vietnam, its first in the country, which is scheduled for completion in January 2014.
The combined production and coating capacity of the first and second Thai plants is triple that of the first plant. The Thai and Vietnamese production will allow the company to meet surging local demand for its lubricants in the automotive and optical-equipment segments, and to spur its business in Asia.
The company’s lubricants are formulated with fluoropolymers, molybdenum disulfide and other solid lubricants, which are combined with special binders and dispersed in solvents or water. With their extremely low coefficients of friction with metals and high abrasion resistance, they are widely used in the automotive, optical-equipment and electronics industries.
