Toa Oil's entire Keihin refinery remains shut

Japan’s Toa Oil’s entire Keihin refinery was shut down in April and remains closed as of this article’s completion. Showa Shell Sekiyu’s spokesman confirmed that the CDU was shut down on April 2 for a scheduled turnaround that should have been finished on May 13; after the maintenance, the unit was briefly restarted but had to be shut down once more after problems arose at a secondary unit. The company’s spokesman said the entire refinery remains shut because of some problems at its flexicoker, which has a capacity of 27,000 barrels per day (bpd). June 13, 2012)
