TMO Renewables appoints David Weaver as CEO

TMO Renewables (“TMO Group”), a global leader in the development of “second generation” biofuels produced from non-food and organic feedstocks, announced the appointment of David Weaver as chief executive officer. Weaver will oversee the company’s overall direction, will build strategic partnerships and technological advancements and will continue expanding the company’s global operations. “David’s phenomenal track record in renewable energy as well as his ability to bring emerging energy technologies to scale makes him ideally suited to lead TMO,” said Tim Yeo, chairman of TMO. “He will play an integral role in expanding TMO’s portfolio of global partners and accelerating the company’s growth worldwide.” Weaver brings with him an extensive background in the energy sector, where he held executive roles in leading various energy companies such as CMS Energy International and Southern California Edison. Weaver was also the managing director in Europe for British Petroleum (BP) Gas Power and Renewables; during his term, he pioneered BP’s renewable energy program and paved the way for the development of the company’s first renewable energy project and wind farm. He also successfully managed several energy development projects in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, China and India. (May 15, 2012)
