TLP to re-start operations in 2010
Malaysia’s Tanjung Langsat Port (TLP) expects to re-start operations at its 100,000 cubic meter oil and petrochemicals terminal in southern Malaysia’s Johor in early 2010, pushing back from the fourth quarter of 2009 as earlier planned. The deferment was in part due to a delay in settling the insurance claim from the fire in August 2008 that gutted part of the terminal. TLP now expects to complete repair works to its six existing tanks by next January and to restart using these tanks around late January or early February 2010, the source said. (October 16, 2009)
