Thailand to make B3 biodiesel mandatory
Thailand’s Energy Minister Wannarat Channukul said he expects the mandatory use of B3 biodiesel, a mixture of 3% biodiesel and 97% petroleum diesel, to take effect in January next year for all diesel-powered vehicles. The implementation of B3 biodiesel, to replace B2 biodiesel, is part of the Thai government’s effort to raise alternative energy consumption. The measure is subject to approval from the National Energy Policy Council, he said. (November 25, 2009)
