Thailand to invest in alternative energy

Thailand will implement a 15-year renewable energy development project with a total investment of more than 400 billion baht (US$11.94 billion) to help revive the country from the current economic crisis. Presiding over the opening ceremony for an energy exhibition, Palangngan Koowikrit Thai, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva stated that the government recognizes the importance of energy and the role it can play in helping the country survive the economic crisis.
