Thailand temporarily relaxes gasoline specifications

To ensure the availability of adequate fuel supply after a Bangchak Petroleum refinery was struck by fire earlier this month, the Thai government relaxed specifications for gasoline and gasoline-base (gasoline that is blended with ethanol to produce gasohol). According to Platts, the new specification will remain in place until September 30 for refineries, and until November 30 for retailers. (July 17, 2012)
