Thailand prepares long-term alternative energy plan
The Thai government, under Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, said it will proceed with a 15-year plan to create several sources of alternative energy that will allow the country to better cope with higher oil prices in the future. The Ministry of Energy will appoint a working group to iron out an action plan to be implemented under the supervision of the National Energy Policy Committee. (February 12, 2009)
